Berliner Weissbeer is typically the most pale-hued of German wheat beer styles. Berliner Weissbiers can exhibit crisp, tart, fruity, sour and light-bodied characteristics. In Germany, drinkers often add a sweet raspberry or herbal woodruff syrup to the beer to balance the beer’s tartness and sourness.
