Kristalweizen – Kristal Weizen

This wheat beer, sometimes called “Kristal Weissbier,” is filtered after fermentation to remove yeast. The result is a crystal-clear weizen beer with no haze or clouds. Exhibiting aroma and flavor characteristics similar to Hefeweizen, Kristalweizen German beer is generally perceived as more crisp and clean on the palate.

Characteristics: Crisp, fruity, banana, wheat, light- to medium-bodied
ABV range: 4.9 – 5.5% IBU: 10-15
