Total Wine & More Opens New Store in Lynnwood, Wash. on June 20

Wine superstore offers beer and wine tastings, everyday low prices and an unprecedented selection of fine wine, spirits and beer

June 11, 2013 (LYNNWOOD, WA) – Marking its one-year anniversary in the state of Washington, Total Wine & More continues its expansion with the opening of its new store in Lynnwood, the company’s fifth store in Washington. Total Wine & More’s Lynnwood store will be its first location north of Seattle, located at 2701 184th Street Southwest across from Alderwood Mall. This location is also the company’s 95th wine superstore nationally, and will celebrate this milestone with beer and wine tastings, live entertainment and more on Thursday, June 20. An additional store is scheduled to open next month in Olympia, Wash.

Boasting 20,000 square feet of space, the Lynnwood superstore will feature an unparalleled collection of more than 8,000 wines, 3,000 spirits and 2,500 beers, with a heavy local selection that includes more than 1,500 Washington wines, 80 Washington and Oregon distilled spirits and 550 Pacific Northwest beers, all at exceptionally low prices. It will also feature the popular “Brewery District” beer-tasting bar and special growler section with 24 taps highlighting Washington-brewed craft beers.

Total Wine & More’s Lynnwood store will include its “next generation” design and feature iPad® stations loaded with proprietary software that assists customers in pairing wine with their meals (complete with recipes), as well as flat screen televisions featuring programming on winemakers, distillers and brewers from around the world. A spacious educational classroom, complete with desktop computers and Wi-Fi, will be used for regular tastings, consumer education courses, community meetings and special events; a climate-controlled wine cellar will accommodate rare selections and a walk-in humidor will offer an array of fine cigars. The Lynnwood store will offer an assortment of wine, beer and spirits related gifts.

“A year ago we marked a momentous change in Washington with the approval of liquor privatization and the opening of our first store in Bellevue,” said David Trone, who co-owns Total Wine & More with his brother Robert. “We have received such a warm welcome from customers as we add locations throughout the state, and we expect to continue to exceed customer expectations with our vast selection of both hard-to-find and locally-produced labels.”

In celebration of its new store, Total Wine & More will offer beer and wine tastings, activities, live entertainment and more from Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23. The new location will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, with tastings on select days.
