Guide to Beer

Japanese Rice Lager

Similar to American-style Lagers, Japanese Rice Lagers use rice in addition to barley in the grain mix during the brewing process, which provide fermentable sugars for the yeast that produce alcohol while keeping the beer light in color and body. Hop bitterness is low but mildly perceptible, providing balance to grain sweetness. The mouth-feel is crisp and refreshing, with a generally dry finish.
