Château Brown Lamartine

A parcel of the Grand Cru Classé, Château Cantenac Brown of Margaux, is located just over the border of Margaux in the Bordeaux Appellation. The wine created on these lands, located at the entrance of the village of Cantenac, was originally named “Château Lamartine” and became “Château Brown Lamartine” in 1993.

Château Brown Lamartine is harvested by hand. The grapes are sorted in the vineyard and at the entrance of the cellar before being vinified by the team of Château Cantenac Brown with the same care given to their Grand Cru Classé. The blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot, is then aged 12 months in oak barrels that have previously been used to age the Grand Cru Classé in Margaux.

While representing a great value, this lovely wine delivers the elegance, finesse and enticing bouquet that have made the wines of neighbouring Margaux world renowned.
