Château Fonroque
Wine has been made at this estate since 1756. In 1931, the Moueix family of Château Magdelaine, Château Trotanoy and Château Pétrus fame, purchased the property. Under the direction of Alain Moueix since 2001, this property is clearly on the upswing. Alain has instituted a far-reaching plan, including organic and biodynamic principles, in an effort to work with nature to make the best wine possible at Fonroque. “We are very confident that all our meticulous efforts will result in a vineyard that is truly in tune with its environment, to preserve resources for the next generations and to give to the wine taster a very deep well-being.” We agree wholeheartedly!
