Château Megyer Tokaj

Château Megyer is classified among the “Grand Cru” vineyards of the legendary Tokaj region, in the northeast corner of Hungary. For more than four centuries, these vineyards in the foothills of the Carpates Mountains have produced one of the world’s greatest dessert wines. Linked to the illustrious history of Hungary, Tokaji wines have been reserved for kings and emperors and made famous by Louis XIV who proclaimed Tokaji “King of Wines and the Wine of Kings.”

In 1991, the Laborde Family was among the first private investors to believe in the renaissance of Tokaji. Drawing on their experience at Pomerol’s Château Clinet, they have made every effort to restore the splendor and glory to Château Megyer. Ranging from the fresh, lively and medium-sweet Tokaji Aszú 3 Puttonyos to the rich and opulent Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos, the unique wines from Château Megyer offer incomparable balance and richness.
