La Delizia
In 1931, 70 enthusiastic winegrowers joined “to make wine together,” laying the foundations for what today is Viticoltori Friulani La Delizia. The company comprises approximately 1,000 skillful viticulturists who manage 4,165 acres of vines. This joint venture created one of the largest wineries in all of Italy.
Growing vines and making top-quality wine in this beautiful and unique winegrowing area of Italy is considered an art by the locals. The production zones Friuli Grave and Friuli Aquileia are located in a vast plain at the heart of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in the north eastern tip of Italy. With clay and gravel soils and a favorable climate, new and old grape varieties have found ideal conditions to thrive. Combine this with the hands and the passion of the winemakers and vineyard growers and an ideal recipe is formed to create wines everyone can appreciate and love worldwide.
