Rosso di Montepulciano

Rosso di Montepulciano [Ross-o dee Mawn-tay-pul-cheon-no] is made from the same Sangiovese grape as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and is similar in style. Though usually lighter and ready to drink at a younger age, Rosso di Montepulciano shares the same vigorous attributes and medium body as well as the grape. It should not be confused with Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, a red wine from the Abruzzo region that takes its name from the grape Montepulciano rather than the city of Montepulciano.
