Noble Vines 337 Cabernet Lodi

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by 2011 Not So Good I bought 6 of these, mostly based on the glowing reviews (6 reviews, 5 out of 5 stars at the time) here, as I'd never tried this wine myself. It was smooth and barely tanic with nice body and was a lovely deep red color (just as described in various reviews). I thought it could have used a bit more acidity to balance all the softness but I was most disappointed in the flavor. It tasted Maderized or "cooked" with none of the fresh, high fruit notes that would have made it really good. I love Total Wine, BUT one of the problems is they often don't post what vintage of a particular wine is currently in stock and shipping and, unless the year is specifically mentioned in a review, there's no telling what vintage is being rated. Wines vary tremendously from year to year so the reviews are, unfortunately, almost useless. I have only tired one bottle of the 6 so far (and not all that thrilled about opening another very soon), but if this one turns out to be an anomaly I'll jump right back and re-review it ASAP. Rated 5 out of 5 by smooth and full-bodied Great tasting cab! Nice bouquet, full-bodied but not tannic, didn't overpower my meal. And it looks good in the glass too, not too purple, not too clear. If I could only remember the name... November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I think this wine is excellent. It has a really nice body to it. I'm new to the "Lodi" area, but I like the fruity-ness that comes from the few bottles I've tried. November 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best Cab I've ever tasted. As Chuck said above, this wine really does go down like velvet. It's the smoothest Cab I've ever tasted. I just bought 8 bottles! It was $4 more the first time I bought...on sale! July 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent fine tasting wine The 20009 cab is full bodied and rich in flavor and goes down like velvet. Use for special occasions .A little pricy for my budget, but worth the price. June 14, 2013

Barrel aged in French and American Oak, with balanced tannins and acidity. This wine has aromas and flavors of black fruit with a hint a black pepper spice. Pair with marinated flank steak or spicy pork carnitas.
