Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay

Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay, 2009

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a 95 - More Like an 87 I bought this wine because the Total Wine website said it was rated 95 by Wine Advocate. To me it tasted awful. So I checked Wine Advocate - they gave it 91 and Wine Enthusiast gave it 87. This is not the first time that Total Wine has misrepresented the rating of a wine. Perhaps, the Tampa store should put a sign above their entrance stating: Caveat Emptor. (Buyer Beware). January 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Consistently One of America's best Chardonnays Hard to knock success, this chard has it all, well rounded, choice subtle use of oak, great balance, fantastic finish. Winemaker Ed Sbaglia is a master-but may move on with his own label; only hope the high quality continues. This wine is one that is a genuine Reserve wine, not a mass produced "reserve" phony label like one ubiquitous popular low priced wine one sees in every local restaurant. August 16, 2013

Wine Advocate - Napa, CA- "The full-bodied 2012 Chardonnay Private Reserve exhibits wonderful orange blossom, white peach and pineapple fruit, a subtle touch of vanillin and toast, and a nicely layered, pure style with terrific fruit intensity."
