Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good Cab for the casual wino I gave this a 4 star because you can't give half points, but I think it more of a 3.5 star wine. Pretty good complexity with berry-like fruit flavors, hint of woodiness, and some tannin but overall good quality for a boxed wine. The packaging is an air tight vacuum sealed bag inside the box with an ice cooler like spout. You're paying $20.99 for essentially four 750mL bottles. If you want, just pour it into empty bottles and see if your friends can guess that it was a boxed wine. Most often they'll never know the difference ;-) March 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very drinkable and VERY well priced. I agree with the two previous reviews -- very nice wine delivered in a very convenient format that keeps the wine in good shape for eons. But I'm giving 5 stars because of the price -- $16 for 4 bottles (750 ml), or $4/bottle. I've seen it for $24, but Total has more kinds and a $16 price. I've liked the shiraz and cabernet best, the merlot much less, but it's just a question of what flavors you like. July 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Everyday Wine I've been enjoying Black Box Cab for several years and even though I've been accused of being a 'wine snob' because I can't drink (won't drink) cheap low end wines, this is a very good wine that will keep you from opening your good stuff before you need to! Keep it in a cool place and tap a glass whenever you want. It stays fresh right to the end of the box. Excellent buy for everyday drinking enjoyment. Very good Cabernet flavors. Not disappointing at all. June 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by An everyday red worth thrice the price. At our last dinner party we did a tasting. Black Box beat them all and there were $13.00 to $26.00 bottles in the mix. Plus, the wine stays fresh because of the way it dispenses. Now, if you can just get over the stigma of boxed wines. We decant it at dinners and don't tell until the end. We get a lot of, "You have to be kidding". Try it! May 27, 2013

A medium-to-full-bodied, juicy, dry red wine with notes of blackberry, currant, subtle violet and anise. A velvety finish.
