Rated 5 out of 5 by On my top shelf! I have only found two other bourbons that rate this high: Bookers and Knob Creek Single Barrel. JDSB has never disappointed! April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A fairly good whiskey. Got a chance to taste this today. My analysis - nose is strong caramel with a bit of smoke. Brisk entry with lots of caramel and a touch of vague dark fruitiness, followed by a layer of pleasant charred oak flavor. Fade is a pleasant, peppery burn in the throat which is long lasting, but develops into a slightly bitter aftertaste. This whiskey is best if you pour and swirl, and let it 'breathe' for a few minutes before drinking. This is an excellent whiskey to sip neat. I usually am not crazy about Jack Daniels, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. February 18, 2014
