Though not as thick and robust as most porters, the flavor is great. Just the right amount of a subtle vanilla flavor.
I'm always excited when winter arrives as I know I'll have plenty of this porter.

Tastes like vanilla coke without the coke flavor. i should of known better, but vanilla porters are usually good. This brand is definitely off mark, I gave the rest away, yes you read it gave them away!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by CLTKiter Somewhat "Light" Porter
I usually like my porter rather heavy, and shy away from light beers of any type. I bought the Snow Drift on a whim as I hadn't had a vanilla porter for a while.
Although it's flavor is somewhat light, it still has a good porter flavor. The vanilla flavor is also rather light. When I mean "light", I mean light for a porter. This is in no way a "lite" beer!
If you like your porters "syrupy", then this isn't for you. But if you want to try a porter without the heavy taste, this might be worth a try.

I found this beer to be a disappointment. It has a thin body with virtually no finish except for a fleeting strong, unpleasant vanilla aftertaste. That is not a good thing because in the watery mix, vanilla is about the only discernible flavor. Subtlety! Subtlety is what you normally would need, but without the vanilla taste, there would not be much else to flavor this beer.
