Martell Cordon Bleu

Martell Cordon Bleu

Rated 5 out of 5 by It is hard to improve on perfection! Martel Cordon Bleu is a very old style of cognac. It is much heavier and fuller bodied than many of the newer XOs. It is a very "long" cognac with a subtle fire that penetrated cheeks and tongue. Warmed and swirled a bit in the glass it develops an unusually complex flavor and has wonderful, slightly sweet finish. All that this should be mixed with is a fireplace, good friends and perhaps a fine cigar. February 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by As good as expected If you're reading this you probably know that this is considered one of the best Cognacs available. Incredibly smooth, almost sweet, but still somewhat complex. Can't miss. December 28, 2013

Cognac, France- Bouquet is semisweet; several minutes of aeration unleashes much deeper scents of honeydew melon, cantaloupe, roasted almonds and apple butter. Palate is full bodied, generous and sweet; at midpalate, the flavor profile turns satiny. Extended, smoky and luscious finish.
