Sequoia Grove Cabernet

Sequoia Grove Cabernet, 2010

Rated 5 out of 5 by The 2010 vintage better than the 2009 I am a member of the SG wine club and very familiar with their excellent wines. The one bad review was a result of. A young 2009, that needs more aging. The 2009 is not their best vintage , but the 2010 is a return to a wine that matches up with cabs at twice the price. January 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Won a Wine Tasting with this Cab! Excellent Cabernet, California or otherwise. We actually brought to a friend's wine tasting and SG was the clear winner among eleven $30+ Cabs. Would definitely recommend! December 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a Cab for $33!! Had the 2008 last night with friends. The aroma of blackberries & cherries was so delightful, I could almost just sniffed it all night!. Ah, but what delicious flavors on the palate, with soft tannin, touch of vanilla, then a blackberry finish that took me back to the 1st sniff! A well balanced wine in this price range. Complimented our all-American pot roast dinner. November 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Average at best Perhaps it was the vintage (2009) and perhaps it needed more time to mature in the bottle (drank on 5/20/13) but I found it to be lacking; the nose aromas of the vanilla and raspberries were hard to notice and the background notes of roasted coffee beans and terroir barley came through. I have another bottle that I will hang on to for a couple of years and I will review it again. To drink now the BV Rutherford at 20 bucks is a much better buy. June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Cab I've Ever Tasted I first experienced this wine at the Hollywood Brown Derby @ Disneyworld. It was outstanding so I trucked it over to Total Wines in Orlando and bought all of them on the shelf. Outstanding wine. June 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon We had the 2002 vintage last night for a friend's birthday with a grilled steak dinner. It was outstanding and he said it was the best wine he ever had. June 1, 2013

Napa, CA- Dark red/black in color, the nose gives an immediate aroma of raspberries and warm baking spices, leading into cassis and clove. The palate has elements of blackberries and spicy oak, with smooth, silky tannins and well balanced acidity.
