Toasted Head Chardonnay has been my favorite wine for many years. I recently bought a case of the 2012 and find it to be much sweeter than past years and not nearly as enjoyable.

The wine world made a horrible mistake in turning away from oaky Chardonnays. Thank heaven for Toasted Head: we buy this by the case. Oak, butter, light floral notes, creamy texture, and... delicious!

I am not into citrus Chardonnay's and this one is just right, a little oak and a little butter. Yes there are a lot better and more expensive ones but for the price, it is excellent !

This wine is only 10% malolactic fermented so look for lots of oak aromas (vanilla, smoky/toasty, caramel), very little fruit and a lot of natural acidity.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sally Great if you like oaky Chardonnay!
I'm not sure why unoaked Chardonnay has become so popular these days. I still prefer the oaked variety and Toasted Head fits the bill reliably. It's a good value as well.

Nice Chardonnay for the price. In Dallas TX it often sold for over $15.00 a bottle.
