Yellow Tail Moscato

Rated 1 out of 5 by Would not recommend I did not enjoy this, it had a very strong citrus acid flavor.....there are so many Moscato's so much better than this I would not waste my $ on this again. April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Delicious Slightly effervescent. Fruity, flowery nose - grape-like. Intense flavors of sweet fresh fruit with good acidity. This is an assertive style of moscato that I am rather fond of. If you enjoy eating fresh, ripe fruit, you should enjoy this wine. If you like the Mallee Point Moscato, you will like the Yellow Tail Moscato, and vice versa. A word about how I use these five star ratings - I recognize that people have wildly different tastes, and I recognize that there are many different styles of winemaking for each variety of grape. I also recognize that most bottles of wine have been well crafted. That said, it is unlikely that we will encounter a truly bad bottle of bad wine, but it is inevitable that we will encounter wines that are not to our taste. Just because I don't like a wine does not mean it is a bad wine - it will appeal to someone. When I give a wine five stars, it means that I liked it, it met my expectations, and I will buy it again. If a wine does not meet my expectations, yet seems to be well made, I will probably give it three stars, and explain why the wine was not as I expected. I will also leave a comment so that you might determine if the wine will appeal to your taste. January 16, 2014
