Rated 5 out of 5 by Becoming a Volpolicella Fan I tried one of these Ripassa's about 6 months ago. I was totally impressed. Found this on a menu in Pittsburgh restaurant, tried it, and was again blown away. Went on line and found this here and bought a half case. Really nice stuff. May 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just an opinion from a beginner... Well balanced red, not too bold with just enough the taste! April 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great Ripasso! We first tasted this Ripasso on a trip to Verona 8 years ago when our waiter at a the restaurant recommended it to us. It knocked us off our feet, deep, velvety, and and not too dry, just what you would hope for given the time and care used in making this wine. On a later trip to northern Italy we visited the winery and had a chance to taste their impressive Amarone. A nice family business, and we were pleased to see that the Zenatos were exporting to Total Wine when we returned home. While more expensive of course then when it's served in Veneto, it is worth the extra few dollars and makes any dinner special. December 27, 2013

Intense, Blackberry, Cassis, Full-bodied

Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy- One of Italy's most delicious wines, made by the ripasso method. Put ino the barrels used for Amarone, creating complex, jammy dried fruit and licorice flavors. Excellent body and texture on the palate, with a lingering finish. Pair with grilled meats.
