Campo de Borja

Often called, "The Empire of Garnacha," Campo de Borja produces full-bodied, complex red wines, as well as white wines from Macabeo and Chardonnay.

Since Campo de Borja acquired DO status in 1980, it has been progressively carving out an identity of its own through the production of remarkable Garnacha (Grenache) wines. In fact, the region is often referred to as "The Empire of Garnacha." These wines are well-crafted, full-bodied, complex and extraordinarily aromatic.

While most production continues to be focused on red wines, white wines are beginning to come into their own. Wines produced from Macabeo and Chardonnay are light, fresh and soft in aroma. In addition to Garnacha, the DO has also been producing great fruity and floral wines from TempranilloCabernetSyrah, and Merlot.
