Wine Removal Supplies

Carpets & Rugs

If you spill your favorite red on your plush carpet, don’t worry, we’ve got you. Follow these easy steps for good-as-new carpet.

  1. Blot red wine stain with a paper towel.
  2. Cover the stain with salt until you can't see the red wine stain anymore.
  3. Let the salt soak into the wet stain and then dry—as the salt dries, it should soak up the stain.
  4. Vacuum.

Clothing

Before you throw that shirt away because you spilled some wine on it, try this handy trick to remove the stain:

  1. Mix together equal parts dishwashing detergent & hydrogen peroxide (find it in the first-aid section. It’s used to prevent infection of minor cuts and scrapes).
  2. Pour the mixture over the wine stain and allow it to soak.
  3. Wash clothing as normal.

*this trick works best on light colored clothes, as hydrogen peroxide has a tendency to bleach.

Couch & Upholstery

  2. Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap with 2 cups of cool water.
  3. Sponge the stain with the solution.

  1. Boil water.
  2. Place a large glass bowl in the kitchen sink.
  3. Stretch the fabric that has the stain over the bowl and secure with a rubber band
  4. Pour the boiling water over the fabric and watch the stain wash out before your eyes.
