Small-batch Bourbon

Highly sought-after by Whiskey lovers, Small-batch Bourbons offer unique complexity and distinctiveness in a showcase of the distiller’s style and skill.

What is Small-batch Bourbon? There are no official rules governing production of this premium spirit, but the words “small batch” on a label generally mean the distiller has blended just a small number of barrels of Bourbon to achieve the desired flavor profile. In addition, a small-batch Bourbon is released in small quantities relative to a brand’s typical output.

Bourbon fans appreciate the skill a master distiller brings to a successful small-batch spirit. A typical Whiskey may be a blend of any number of barrels that have aged under the distiller’s roof, and each barrel brings different flavor elements to the blend. But when there are only a few barrels in the blend, the quality of each individual barrel must be very high, because its flavors will be more prominent. The even more exclusive Single-barrel Bourbon follows this same principle.
