Cayuse Vineyards Red Wine

Washington- Columbia Valley- Boysenberry, jasmine flowers, orange blossom, and candied ginger intertwine with smoked brisket, black olive tapenade, and black plums. Unfolding layers of ripe blackberries, charred herbs, and dark cocoa framed by an underlying stony minerality.

Walla Walla, Columbia Valley, WA- A mass of flavors mineral, umami, dry tannins, spicy fruit all sublimated to the earthy mineral base. A drier, mineral component is more in evidence than the earthy, composty character of previous years. Good acidity, not too much, and precise mountain.

Washington - Columbia Valley - Walla Walla - This is savory, nearly sultry in style, with a salty flourish up front giving way to violet-laced black fruits and sour citrus. The 2020 finishes tannic and with a bitter tinge, leaving a chalky coating on the palate as tart blackberry notes fade.
