Spain - Rioja - Aromatic with notes of fresh red fruit, and some licorice. The wood is there but you have to look for it. Once in the mouth you feel the structure, the volume, but its all restrained, the tannin is fine and the wine is long. Easy to drink.

Rioja, Spain - "This wine was first produced in 1999 and matured in barrique for 18 months. It has a mixture of modern and traditional Rioja, but here I find more tannins and a little more influence from the aging in barrel."

Spain - Rioja - Aging in oak for 24 months and another 48 months in bottle. Its a dense, highly concentrated style that's very impressive. Aromatically bursting with red fruits, its a full flavored wine with notes of cranberries. A confident wine that will last a long time.

Spain - Black cherries with cedar and dried flowers, as well as dusty earth. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins that are long and polished. Lots of structure. Very typical and focused. Drinkable now, but better in 2024.
