Darkness Ale

Colorado- Dunkel Lager- 5.5% ABV. Brewed with actual cacao nibs, our 2017 GABF silver medal winner starts off dark and roasty & finishes crisp and light. We hope you enjoy this beverage!

Germany- Dunkelweizen- Pours a burnt toffee/brown color with a creamy tan head. Spices & sweet malts flood the aroma with notes of banana, wheat, caramel, chocolate & clove. A wonderful flavor of sweet caramel malts, toffee, chocolate, wheat, mocha & dark fruit.

Massachusetts- Fruit Beer- 5.5% ABV. Pours a dark golden color. Based on the Kolsch style and with natural mango flavor added. Big mango on the aroma, carrying to the flavor with bready malts and a floral hop balance, leading to a bittersweet finish.

Tennessee- Munich Dunkel Lager- 5.5% ABV. 25-30 IBUs. Rich, deep and complex, our Munich Dunkel is many things, but heavy isn't one of them. This classic German dark lager is to be savored slowly to enjoy the flavors of biscuits, cocoa and caramel.

United States - North Carolina - Refreshing tangerine and blackberry ale brewed with a significant portion of malted wheat to lend ample texture and support. Finishes with hints of citrus, dark berry, and a subtle creamsicle-esque sweetness.

Minnesota- American Brown Ale- 5.8% ABV. Dark roasted malt gives this beer its dark brown color. The aromas of chocolate, nuts, caramel, and toast are accompanied by a full bodied flavor of bread, roast, and dark chocolate. This beer is designed to be enjoyed all year long.

Connecticut- English Porter- 5.3% ABV. A beautiful dark brown ale with ruby highlights, a rich flavor and restrained roast notes. The beer finishes dry with a lingering malt flavor.

Texas- American Porter- 5.6% ABV. Dark malts dominate this robust porter with strong chocolate and coffee notes. Sit back and gaze at the stars while savoring this easy-drinking darl ale from the brewery by the beach.

Indiana - American Porter - 5% Boiler Black Ale is brewed using ingredients researched by Purdue University and grown by local farmers. Boiler Black is a American Porter with an approachable roasted character for fans of a darker, full-flavored beer.

United States - North Carolina - This English porter has notes of cocoa, nuts, and plum. Its super-smooth texture is built from dark malt, oats, and wheat, then steeped with Charleston Tea Garden's Earl Grey black tea for a unique twist to this exquisitely English Ale. 

California- American Porter- Specially roasted dark malts are used along with a top-fermenting yeast that produce an thick, opaque ale. The brew is hopped at a very high rate adding complexity to the chocolate, toffee, and mocha notes produced by the roasted 2-row malt.

United States - Michigan - Ruby ale brewed with honey. Notes of toffee and dark fruit. A high-alcohol barleywine meant for slow enjoyment, especially through the winter months.

North Carolina- English Barley Wine- 12.0% ABV. Appalachian Walker is our award-winning Irish Walker barleywine style ale aged in brandy barrels for over a year. It is is complex, rich, and warming, with notes of brandy, breadiness, and dark fruit.

Montana- Oatmeal Stout- 5.0% ABV. This dark brown ale is topped by a sticky tan head. Roasted malt aromas meet some coffee, chocolate and a touch of caramel. The light to medium body and smooth mouth feel deliver flavors of mild chocolate and coffee. This is an easy to drink Stout.

Indiana - American Porter - 5% Boiler Black Ale is brewed using ingredients researched by Purdue University and grown by local farmers. Boiler Black is a American Porter with an approachable roasted character for fans of a darker, full-flavored beer.

Texas- American Stout- 8.5% ABV. Dark brown in color, smells of coffee and chocolate. The taste is much of the same, with hints of creamy toffee and roasted malt. Smooth and delicious, this medium bodied ale is all about the malts, but has enough hop bitterness to be balanced.

United States - Nevada - Feel the magic of deeply roasted and British heritage crystal malts floating in the air of premium Maris Otter. Coffee and chocolate take center stage to ROCK your taste buds, and then fade to the shadow of the night with a clean exit… stage left.

United States - Layers of roasted barley, caramelized rye, and a smooth minerality brought on by local oysters from our friends at Middle Sound Mariculture. Finishing slightly dry and clean, a touch of Vermont grown Cascade hops gives this little number a balance of pine and citrus.

United States - Minnesota - A Belgian dark strong ale that is fruity and spicy. They perfect beer for these cold days. A portion of proceeds go for wildlife and natural resource conservation.

District of Columbia- American Dark Wheat Ale- 5.5% ABV. German style wheat beer can be described as a mix between a hefeweizen and a Dunkel. Has a sweet maltiness and chocolate like character

United States - California - A gorgeous golden Ale that is made to mimic the flavors and aromas of a traditional stout. It is created by adding cold steeped coffee, vanilla beans and cacao nibs instead of dark roasted malts, it has all about the flavors minus the colors

Rhode Island- Milk/Sweet Stout- 5.3% ABV. 30 IBUs. Pours a dark brown color with a mocha head. The aroma is mostly coffee notes with a touch of dark, creamy malts supporting. The taste boasts flavors of milk, roasted coffee, dark malts, bitter chocolate and a touch of smokiness.
