Darkness Ale

Michigan- Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy- 10.2% ABV. The cloudy, dark mahogany liquid elicits aromas of berries, toffee, fig, caramel, and peaty, smoky bourbon barrels. Sweet flavors mirror the aroma, with vanilla, oak, dark fruit and peat having a strong presence. A warming bourbon beer.

Ireland- Irish Red Ale- 5.0% ABV. Traditionally brewed with only Kilkenny-grown malt, including three darker malts and three varieties of hop. It’s a refreshingly balanced, ruby tinted classic Irish ale with a depth of malt flavour giving rich biscuit and gentle caramel notes

Belgium- Belgian Strong Dark Ale- 9.2% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. This beer is a lower gravity version of Rochefort 10. The dark roasted malts, chocolate and fruit flavors make this very pleasant to drink. BeerAdvocate's #23 of 25 All-Time Top Beers 2008.

Belgium- Quadrupel- 11.3% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. A top product from the Rochefort brewery. This exhibits a dark brown color with a full and very impressive taste. There are strong notes of plum, raisin, and black currant in the palate. BeerAdvocate's #6 Top Beer on Planet Earth 2009.

California- English Brown Ale- Rich chocolate malt flavors create complexity and drinkability in this classic English-style Nut Brown ale. Although dark in color, Nut Brown Ale is an extremely easy drinking & relatively low alcohol beer. Gold Medal winner at LA County's 2010 fair.

Oregon- Gluten-Free Beer- Gold Medal 2014, '16 & '17 GABF. Brewed using a very dark, near espresso-like roasted chestnuts. The dark chestnuts lend a roasty flavor & aroma with notes of chocolate & dark fruit. Hops take a supporting role allowing the roastiness to shine on the palate.

Michigan- American Brown Ale- 6.5% ABV. Pours a very deep/dark color of brown with a nice creamy tan head. The mouthfeel of the beer is very soft and is very drinkable. Flavors of malt, caramel, toffee, and a mild earthy nutty finish allow this beer to be paired with hearty foods.

Texas- American Barley Wine- 11.5% ABV. Pours a hazy orange/copper color. A sweet aroma of caramel malts, toffee, candied sugar & a blend of citrusy, floral hops. Tastes of sweet caramel malts, toffee & dark fruit blended with bitter citrusy hops. A smooth, creamy beer!

Texas- American Double/Imperial Stout- 9.8% ABV. 75 IBUs. Pours a near black. "Colossal additions of American hops are used to balance the robust malt character and infuse this ale with their distinctly citrus-like qualities. It can be consumed now or laid down for further enjoyment."

Florida- American Brown Ale- Pours a light brown color with amber notes. A nutty aroma of caramel malts, chocolate, dark fruits, and mocha. Tastes of cocoa, oats, toffee, toasted nuts and bread with a mild hoppy bitterness.
