Excel Ale

California- American Amber / Red Ale- 5.4% ABV. A balanced brew, malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red ale. Red Seal is generously hopped for a long, spicy finish. It is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meats and rich sauces.

Belgium- Belgian Strong Dark Ale- 7.5% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. Brewed in limited production, this is nearly impossible to find outside of Rochefort. It is very dark amber in color with a honeyed spicy aroma and an excellent mouth feel.

California- American India Pale Ale (IPA)- 7% ABV. Pours a cloudy golden color. Nelson Sauvin, an outstanding hop from New Zealand, is generously used throughout the brewing and dry-hopping of this unique beer. European rye is added for a smooth, malty addition to flavor. Excellent!

North Carolina- American Amber/Red Ale- 5.0% ABV. This Hoppy Amber Ale is brewed w/ 3 different types of crystal malts. Amarillo & Cascade Hops add some citrus & apricot flavors & aroma. Medium bitterness & medium light body.

Belgium- Lambic-Fruit- 3.5% ABV. This is vibrant ruby in color with medium sweetness. The flavors are reminiscent of cherries, flowers, and yeast. The nose is very fragrant with an excellent definition of fruit extract. It is effervescent with a full mousse and champagne-like texture.

Virginia- Kolsch- A very clear golden hue in appearance. Modest aromas of sweet bready malts balanced with hints of herbal hops. The flavor is similar with light notes of lemon and sweet corn. Nice flavor and an excellent accompaniment to summer.

United States - New Mexico - Crafted from 2 Row base malt along with specialty malts sourced from England, Canada, and Germany combines eight barley types to create a clean, heady, malty amber. This beer has an excellent caramel malty finish. A complex, refreshing session beer.

United States - Connecticut - This beer pours a beautiful golden yellow & features bready notes up front, followed by pleasant sweetness of honey malt & a touch of the real thing - honey. Rounded out by Hallertau Blanc & Palisade hops, this is an excellent springtime sipper.

United States - Maryland - Brilliantly clear copper, thick, dense khaki head, excellent retention and lace Toast, caramel, light earthy/floral/spicy hop aroma. Medium bodied, satisfying, appropriately carbonated. A real throwback.

United States - Virginia - Open-fermented Saison. Excellent farmhouse phenolics, paired perfectly w/ the rye & spelt grist. Crisp, effervescent & refreshing, w/ notes of lemon verbena & white pepper.
