Orange White Wine

Italy - Sicily - This is produced exclusively from Catarratto grapes grown on the Il Censo estate vineyards, farmed organically and harvested manually. The wine characteristically has a rich, golden tint with a strong minerality and a pleasant bitterness and an almost saline quality.

New Zealand- Hawkes Bay- A beautiful, ripe Sauvignon Blanc nose of pink grapefruit, guava, ginger, honey drizzled pears and orange blossom. The palate delivers a lovely satiny texture and tons of citrus and ginger laced flavors with a lively acid backbone and very long finish.

Sierra Foothills, California- This Donkey and Goat Stone Crusher is 100% Roussanne from El Dorado, California. It is dry, dry, dry, like a red wine, yet served with a little chill to it. It is full of flavors like honeysuckle, a juicy caramelized peach with a hint of orange.

Puglia, Italy - A funky, cloudy liter of skin contact white from an organic farmer in southern Italy. Falanghina grown on limestone soils, given 5 days of maceration on the skins developing into a deeply hued orange wine.

Long Island, New York- There are aromas and flavors of honey, brown spices, dried apricots, pear skin, tropical citrus, baked apples, coriander and peaches. The wine has balanced acidity, is medium-plus body and has a great persistence of flavor on the finish. Dry and exotic.

California- The wine smells like peach skin and is light bodied. It presents exotic flavors of dried flowers, apricot and sea salt and has a firm mouthfeel, noticeable astringency and an almost meaty character.

California- Ryme Cellars Vermentino Orange is lithe and refreshing. Eminently mouth-watering, it bursts with lemon rind, chamomile, and salty sea spray. The palate is zippy but rounds out with texture and depth.

Australia - A variety and style typically associated with French wine region Jura, this is a lighter none less powerful McLaren Vale Savagnin that spent five days cold soaked with skin contact before being pressed into fourdre and old barrique. Tropical fruit, nuttiness...

California - Central Coast - Made with Native Yeast. Co-fermented on skins for 40 days. Aged in 900 gallon wood tank. Flavors of Orange blossom, honeysuckle, potpourri and chamomile.

New Zealand - Soft copper colour. There is a caramelised, creamy and quite rich, buttery palate with popcorn, dried apricot and even berry flavours on this full bodied wine. There is more than a passing resemblance to old-school Chardonnay in that amalgam of flavours...
