Spain - "A mature red wine with aromas of ripe black fruit and notes of undergrowth and aromatic plants. On the palate it is powerful, flavorsome and mineral. A wine with very balanced acidity, silky tannins and a long and persistent finish."

Spain - Bierzo - "It has 13.16% alcohol and a pH of 3.66; it's serious and restrained but juicy and easy to drink. Seventy percent of the wine matured in barrel and the rest in troncoconic oak vats."

Spain - Bierzo - "...This might be a little unusual, but I love it. It feels very complex, with abundant tannins, a little like Nebbiolo and in need of time in bottle. It's wild and full of character. This is one of the grand crus from Valtuille."

Bierzo, Spain - "...notes of ink and licorice and a touch of cured meat and smoke. This is very round and lush, from a warm zone with sandy soils, south-facing and with a tendency to ripen early. It's creamy and spherical."
