Trappist Ale

Belgium- Quadrupel- 11.3% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. A top product from the Rochefort brewery. This exhibits a dark brown color with a full and very impressive taste. There are strong notes of plum, raisin, and black currant in the palate. BeerAdvocate's #6 Top Beer on Planet Earth 2009.

Belgium- Tripel- 9.5% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. Gold Medal 2012 World Beer Cup. This beer has a glowing orange-gold color and an aroma of fresh herbs and flowers. It is enriched with complex flavors that meld malt sweetness, warmth, and hops resulting in powerful drinkability.

Belgium- Belgian Strong Dark Ale- 9.2% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. This beer is a lower gravity version of Rochefort 10. The dark roasted malts, chocolate and fruit flavors make this very pleasant to drink. BeerAdvocate's #23 of 25 All-Time Top Beers 2008.

Belgium- Belgian Pale Ale- 6.9% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. Orval is brewed unfiltered by Catholic monks at a monastery founded in the 1100s in the pastoral Belgium countryside. Three different malts and two types of hops, & Brettanomyces yeast, impart a great character and complexity. Balanced.

Belgium- Belgian Strong Dark Ale- 7.5% ABV. TRAPPIST ALE. Brewed in limited production, this is nearly impossible to find outside of Rochefort. It is very dark amber in color with a honeyed spicy aroma and an excellent mouth feel.

Belgium- Dubbel- 7.0% ABV. Brown-amber color, subtle dark-malt aroma balanced by Belgian yeast character. Deeply malty, with a gentle, dry finish that hints at tropical fruit.

England- American Strong Ale- 7.4% ABV. Trappist beers tend to be named after the place in which the monastery is situated. We’ve called ours ‘Tynt Meadow’, to honour the link with the plot of land on which monastic life was refounded here in the Midlands almost two centuries ago.

Netherlands- Belgian Pale Ale- 8.0% ABV. Chestnut-colored, bottle-conditioned, with aroma of caramel, herbs and spices; flavor of light caramel to a hoppy bitterness. Brewed within the walls of Zundert Trappist Monastery

Belgium- Tripel- 8.5% ABV. Honeyish, mildly herbal with a subtle Eucalyptus aftertaste. Mildly spicy and balanced by a stiff bitterness. Dry finish with residual malt, fruit, and hops.
