Vintage Red Wine

Long Island, New York- This is a surprisingly young and sexy Merlot with gorgeous fruit and a very graceful demeanor on opening. Aged in French Oak, it is balanced with a more concentrated feel. The fruit does not fade quickly and counters its tannins well.

Italy - From Sardinia’s historic heart, this Cannonau Riserva offers aromas of black cherry juice, plum jam, forest floor, red flowers, clove, and cinnamon. Balanced and medium-bodied with velvety tannins. Sustainably made, 2024 vintage.

Armenia - Made from Areni Grape, which grows in the village of Aghavnadzor in Vayos Dzor Region Has subtle flavors of sweet cherry, currant, and pepper. Matevosyan Areni Vintage 2018 Red Semi Sweet is recommended to serve with west-eastern cuisine lamb and veal.

Texas - Sourced from younger vines in a fairly productive vintage, these two lots were produced in flex tank and were very soft wines, perfect for toning down the beast from Jim's old vineyard. A table wine from a lot of different lots, enjoy with grilled and smoked meat.

Washington- Non-vintage Bordeaux restaurant blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby color. Fruit forward, but not overpowering. Black current with vanilla flavors.

Washington- Non-vintage Bordeaux blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon 43%, Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Fruit on nose with plenty of oak, medium palate with good balance and complexity. Mint notes on finish.

Napa- From the Duncan family of Silver Oak, this opulent Bordeaux blend has notes of vanilla and blueberry, a dried floral character and chalky tannins. Anise and cherry lift the palate to a beautiful, lingering finish. An elegant vintage worthy of cellaring for years to come.

Chiroubles, Beaujolais-Villages, France - Manual harvest on the sandy terroir of Domaine des Maisons help contribute to the vibrant color and fruit-filled fleshiness of this red wine. Typical aromas of vintage violet flowers emerge in the mouth.

Napa- From the famed Thomas Rivers Brown, this full-bodied, rich blend is 70% 2019 Zinfandel and 30% 2020 Petite Sirah. Putting a vintage on the label was not an option, but honestly - who cares? When a wine is this delicious, it shouldn't matter.

Spain - "...This comes from younger vines yet is structured and seamless, quite complete. It feels like a very good vintage for Garnacha Tintorera in the zone. The palate is round, somehow creamy, and the tannins are ripe and juicy..."

Napa, California - This solera style wine consists of every ZD reserve cabernet sauvignon ever produced. Twenty six consecutive vintages (1992-2017) with the addition of 2018 Petit Verdot. This full-bodied wine is elegant with rich notes of red fruit and black cherry.
