Vosne-Romanée

Vosne-Romanée, one of the most celebrated wine villages in Burgundy, is often called the jewel in the Côte de Nuits crown. Its fame stems from worldwide recognition of red wines from its six illustrious Grand Crus, or highest-ranked sites, which can sell at stratospheric prices.

Vosne-Romanée produces elegant, rich, velvety Pinot Noir wines with sweet, ripe tannins. Red fruit flavors dominate on the palate with nuances of dark fruit and earthy, rustic notes. As Vosne-Romanée Grand Cru selections are on the pricey side, it’s worth seeking out Vosne-Romanée wines that carry the more reasonably priced Premier Cru or Village designations.
