Saint-Véran

Saint-Véran white wines, made from Chardonnay, are typically crisp, with flavors of apple, pear and lemon, balanced by a dry minerality. Saint-Véran wines may be made in any one of four Maconnais villages – Chasselas, Leynes, Chânes and Saint-Vérand – each adjoining the more famous appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé. Sharing many of the same fine qualities as Pouilly-Fuissé, at a fraction of the price, Saint-Véran represents extraordinary value for fresh-tasting, expertly made white wines in the fine Burgundy style.
