Centre-Loire, the easternmost wine area along France’s Loire Valley, is so named because it is in exact geographic center of France. This central valley is the ancestral home of Sauvignon Blanc, and includes two appellations that produce some of the greatest expressions of that grape, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.
