Located ten miles northeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas produces some of the most underrated wines of the southern Rhône. Although some are produced in a light and fruity style, most are full-bodied with highly concentrated fruit flavors and aromas of black cherry, blueberry and cassis with a touch of spice and earthiness. These robust reds are a remarkable value, perfect with a variety of red meats and other hearty dishes.
