Gamay

The red Gamay grape makes the light, refreshing wines of the Beaujolais region.

The wines range from the juicy, quaffable Beaujolais Nouveau, the first wine to be released from each year’s harvest; to Beaujolais-Villages, wines from 38 notable towns in Beaujolais; to Cru Beaujolais, the most complex wines from 10 towns that carry the Cru classification.

All Gamay wines are generally fresh and lively, filled with bright fruit flavors and perfumed aromas. They are meant to be enjoyed young, and often benefit from a slight chill, making them a great option for warm-weather red wine.
