Jorge Ordoñez

Jorge Ordoñez grew up in the family wine business in Málaga, Spain, and since moving to the United States in 1987 has become a renowned producer and importer of Spanish wines, helping Americans to fall in love with an extensive portfolio of high-quality wines previously unknown outside Spain.

Ordoñez has also spearheaded critical improvements to traditional Spanish winemaking, instituting lower yields and careful vinification at the wineries, and insisting on refrigerated warehousing and shipping of wines. The resulting wines are infused with classic Spanish spirit and terroir, and still deeply satisfying to the modern palate.
