With three “Wine Spectator’s #1-rated Wine in the World” awards under her belt, MaryAnn is proof that pluck, passion, and persistence pays off.
MaryAnn caught the wine bug in her study abroad program in the Loire Valley and inspired her move to Napa after graduating from Harvard Business School. When Mike Moone invited her to join Beringer Estates in 1989, it was a dream come true.
Over the next few decades, MaryAnn’s bold vision and belief that the “best of the best” fruit is at a wine’s core, resulted in some of California’s most iconic wines including Beringer’s Bancroft Ranch Merlots and the 1991 Private Reserve Chardonnay.
Fast forward to 2006 and the creation of Moone-Tsai, where MaryAnn and husband Larry have set their sights on earning a fourth #1 Wine in the World rating. They’re well on their way!
