Varietal / Type

The Arneis grape variety originates in Roero, in Italy’s Piedmont wine region. Traditionally, this white grape was used to blend with the region’s bold, red Nebbiolo-based wines. In recent years Arneis has become popular as a standalone white varietal wine, and it’s now grown in California, Australia and elsewhere in addition to its native Northern Italy.

Arneis wines are dry and perfumed, with low acidity and notes of apple, peach, almond and flowers.
