OVERVIEW

Taste the best of Italy with Tesoro della Regina’s delectable wines. Produced from iconic Italian winemaking regions like Veneto and Tuscany, Tesoro’s collection exhibits the unique flavors of Italy. From their Chianti Classico to their highly rated Prosecco, there’s a bottle you’re sure to enjoy.

The production area for Valdadige wines comprises three provinces in two regions: Bolzano and Trento in Trentino-Alto Adige and Verona in the Veneto. The cool climate is ideal for producing dry white wines, particularly Pinot Grigio. The valleys are narrow, and with hills rising steeply on all sides, the opportunity exists to grow a variety of grapes on relatively small plots of land. In addition to Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Garganega, Sauvignon Blanc and Glera (for sparkling wines) are grown here.

Glass of Chardonnay

Every white wine grape variety can have myriad expressions, depending on where it is grown and how the winemaker chooses to style the wine. The same grape can produce both a dry white wine and a sweet white wine, one that’s crisp and refreshing or honeyed and mellow.

Most wine drinkers know the popular international varieties, like Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, which are made into white wine in most of the world’s winemaking regions. But there are hundreds more to discover. Think of the popularity of white wines like Pinot Grigio or Moscato, which only a few years ago were largely unknown to U.S. consumers.
