Faro

A blended Belgian Lambic beer with added Belgian dark candi sugar, Faro is generally the sweetest Lambic style that does not have fruit added. Ranging from deep amber to mahogany brown in color, Faro has a sweet, fruity character that dominates the beer’s characteristic tart, sour, barnyard, horsey or earthy Lambic flavors. Tasters will experience varying degrees of sweet and sour in different Faro offerings, with some very sweet and others more sour. Some brewers add spices such as coriander and orange peel for additional flavor.
