This twist on the classic mint julep would be perfect for your Kentucky Derby festivities or any time!

Ingredients
- 6 oz. Bourbon
- 2 oz. simple syrup
- 8 large basil leaves
- 4 sprigs of basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Place the basil and simple syrup into a julep cup.
- Muddle well.
- Add the Bourbon.
- Fill with crushed ice and stir well.
- Garnish with the basil sprigs.
