This delicious and layered (flavor- and color- wise!) cocktail is an easy play on a classic whiskey sour that dates back to the later part of the 19th century.

New York Sour
Ingredients
- 2 part(s) Bourbon
- 3/4 part(s) Simple syrup
- 3/4 part(s) Lemon juice
- Float of Claret or red wine
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to mixing glass and add ice.
- Shake and fine strain into a single old fashioned glass filled with ice.
- Delicately float a small amount of red wine on surface of the cocktail.
