Valdadige

The cool climate of this region is ideal for prodcuing dry white wines made from Pinot Grigio, Garganega, and Glera grapes.

The production area for Valdadige wines comprises three provinces in two regions: Bolzano and Trento in Trentino-Alto Adige and Verona in the Veneto. The cool climate is ideal for producing dry white wines, particularly Pinot Grigio. The valleys are narrow, and with hills rising steeply on all sides, the opportunity exists to grow a variety of grapes on relatively small plots of land. In addition to Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Garganega, Sauvignon Blanc and Glera (for sparkling wines) are grown here.
