DOLCETTO

Dolcetto is Italian for “little sweet one,” yet wines made from the Dolcetto grape in the Piedmont region of Italy aren’t sweet. Dolcetto wines are typically soft and light-bodied, low in acidity and high in tannin, earning their name only in contrast to powerful red wines also produced in Piedmont.

Traditional Dolcetto food pairings juxtapose these refreshing, dry wines with the rich foods of northwestern Italy.
