The Monteregio di Massa Marittima DOC, within the larger Maremma Toscana, is a hilly region that stretches from the sea toward Montalcino, and includes the medieval walled city of Grosseto. Red wines made here are typically Sangiovese-based blends, medium-bodied, with flavors of dark fruits, earth and spice.
